… who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame… Hebrews 12:2
When your cross gets too heavy and your shoulders are too weak, Endure.
When your so-called friends turn their backs to you, Endure.
When your parents let you down, Endure.
When your money runs out long before your next paycheck, Endure.
When you have no paycheck, Endure.
When life looks like a marathon and you’re just on the first mile, Endure.
When the doctor shakes her head and says, “I can do no more,†Endure.
When your cupboard is bare, Endure. When your closet is bare, Endure.
When you studied all night and you still failed the test. Endure.
When the trials of life are long and your patience is short, Endure.
Just when you think that you can’t take it anymore, Endure.
The end of the verse in Hebrews 12:2 states, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Enjoyment is always the reward for endurance. Endurance is always a partner with enjoyment.
In order to enjoy your joy you must endure with endurance.
No endurance, no joy!
… weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalms 30:5
